The monthly photowalks always start from Asukastupa Alvari (Kuorimokatu 1, Oulu). People are welcome to join for one or more Photowalks. During walks, we look at the environment gently, critically and with new eyes. The photowalks will be compiled into a zine and an exhibition that will spread across the Meri-Toppila area in the winter 2023.
On the third photowalk, participants have the opportunity to photograph the interior of Meri-Toppila’s silo as well! Ten cameramen can fit inside the silo at one time, so if necessary, we divide the photowalk participants into parts, so that everyone who wants to has the opportunity to visit inside the silo.
Anyone interested in photography is welcome to the photography walk, be it beginners, real enthusiasts or even professionals.
The goal is to reacquaint oneself with one’s surroundings. Do we see something with new eyes, are we more merciful or unmerciful? What the pictures tell about us and our environment.
The photowalks are co-produced by the City of Oulu Cultural Services, Photo North – Northern Photographic Centre and Asukastupa Alvari.
