Exhibition for Heinäpää Photowalks opens on the 21th of December. The opening is also the launch of the Heinäpää Photowalk publication.

Heinäpää is on a constant change and it shows in the various photographers works. Change is apparent on a personal level as well the change we see in our surrounding environment. These feelings are mirrored through the Heinäpää Photowalk -exhibition which is spread across Heinäpää and can be seen at all times until 6th of April 2025. The opening starts at noon on 21th of December, with the opening event being held at campfire place in Hollihaka Park. See the area map at www.atla.fi.

The photowalks were attended by 83 photographers and over a thousand pictures were taken during the walks. From that vast mass of pictures, we have selected the works to the exhibition and the publication. You can also read the publication online (pdf file opens in a new tab).

Heinäpää Photowalks have been co-produced by the City of Oulu Cultural Services and Photo North – Northern Photographic Centre with assistance from Fotonordic. Before this third installment of Photowalks, focus has been on Kaijonharju and Meri-Toppila areas in Oulu. Goal of the walks has been to make people more in touch with their hometown and bring a communal photographic journey throughout the year.
